Morgan was featured in a short film that was about AIDS recognition and treatment. Safe Sex for Men and Women. Part of the money was donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She serves as a member on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been involved in numerous fundraising initiatives in support of the condition and been a witness before a Congressional Special Committee about AIDS Education. Morgan is a member of the Board of Governors of APLA and Amfar's Board of Directors. She has been asked to replace the former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop at the AIDS-related gatherings. Steve Bell, a news anchor, has also hosted an AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell has interviewed her twice about AIDS in Nightline. Morgan won an Emmy Award in Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was made specifically for Morgan. In the spring of this year, Morgan starred with Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC TV. In the following week, she kicked off her summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It also included Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. In her next role, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady together with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played the main character in a psychological thriller which was solely produced through the USA Network. It received one of the best ratings recorded in network history.
